In Sofi and Sun’s opinion, Laguna Beach is the most beautiful beach in the greater Los Angeles area — yes, even more than Santa Monica or Malibu. With some of the most breathtaking sunsets you’ll ever see, Laguna holds a very special place in our hearts.

It’s also where our wedding will take place, so you’ll naturally have plenty of time to explore and enjoy this coastal gem. Whether you’re admiring the ocean from the beach or from the scenic parks above, the signature crescent-shaped coastline of Laguna is incredibly picturesque.

Laguna is also known as an art town, with many local galleries and creative spaces, partly thanks to its proximity to Laguna College of Art and Design. You’ll find plenty of charming shops and boutiques to wander through. Another highlight is the protected tide pools, where you can spot little marine creatures like hermit crabs — a fun and peaceful way to connect with nature.

Food & café recommendations:

• Gelato Paradiso — delicious gelato that often draws a line, but worth it! Weekdays are usually less busy.

• Urth Caffé — a popular LA café stop for drinks and brunch.

If you’d like to explore a bit more, just a 3-minute drive away is Victoria Beach. Parking can be tricky, so Uber is recommended. But it’s home to a very cool pirate tower that’s perfect for photos — and it’s also where Sun proposed to Sofi, making it incredibly meaningful to us.
